It’s just everyone’s dream to be able to have a place away from home to get away once in a while in their life. And for some people, they are just lucky enough to have a little castle to do that thing. At least that is what happened in the case of these fabulous couple, an advertising agency owner Morten Angelo and his wife Tina Horstedt, who found their dream holiday retreat in Apulia, a region in southern Italy.
The place they found is abundant with all the praised by fashion designer Giorgio Armani as the country’s finest and most authentic area. While looking for the perfect place, the couple immediately fell in love with a home typical to the Alberobello village. The said that they just found the place they are looking for all the times of their life to have their getaway place for both of them once in a while. They immediately took the necessary arrangements in order for them to be able to take over the abundant place from the previous owner who happened to be a designer too. Back to the house we talked about.
The place is consisting of round, conic-shaped structures. A typical classic rustic Italian and Mediterranean house designs. The couple decided to expand by building a new addition to create a dreamy little castle to call their own. What they did there was a magnificent job by combining the new and the old while preserving the rustic character of the original medieval building.
I did not have any other choice but had to I applaud their decision to keep the decor simple and serene by just adding touches of black and white against that gorgeous sea of limestone. I guess this raises the bar for the concept of having a vacation home.
